Ann M. Hillis

MS/CCC, MBA

Ann Hillis, MS, CCC-SLP, MBA is the owner and lead speech pathologist of Speech Pathology PRN.

Why did you become a speech language pathologist?

I decided to become a speech pathologist at the age of 13 after observing the speech and language development of a four year old child with a severe hearing impairment. I was fascinated by her ability to communicate using oral communication, gesture, body language, and tone of voice.

What do you feel are your areas of specialization?

I have worked with people with speech and language disorders from infancy through geriatrics.  I have worked with adults and children across the speech and language continuum including developmental and acquired language disorders, pragmatic language, cognition, articulation and phonology, fluency, voice and swallowing.

A fun fact about Ann: I am a native Texan who spends most weekends at the Double Helix Ranch with my husband, David, where we raise longhorn cattle.
